Futzing around

I realized a long time ago that I have very little talent in the area of the fine arts. But that doesn't stop me from making weird arts and crafts in my free time. (I *will* finish my video clip of Gandolf and the Balrog, someday.) I really love wrapping paper, so I have been trying out the art of collage.* You might have noticed my previous attempts at changing the background to this blog. I think I have it down now, though. Enjoy.

*I think collage won't hurt the copyright of the wrapping paper artists. I hope.

Eh, I consider textile arts a fine art and my friend crochet is a "textile art". Ok I have no idea what I'm talking about except that you are very talented! That I know.

I can't wait to see examples of your collage art. I wouldn't worry about the copyright thingie!

Actually, ahem, the penguins on the left are my collage art. I bought some purple-ish, winter-y scrapbooking paper and added the penguins from the wrapping paper. I hope they are showing up on other people's computers. hmm... Oh, well, when the weather turns nicer, I have an even better sidebar to put up.

I thought the penguins were a pre-made blog decoration, like mine. Major kudos for the head fake, which I think is a testament to the fact that your collage art is totally decent.

And really... no talent in the fine arts? Really? Consider yourself virtually slapped upside the head.
